General Terms and Conditions of Business
1. order
All orders are binding. In your own interest, please make sure that the delivery address and telephone number given to us are correct and complete. We cannot accept any liability for any delays or non-deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete addresses. We reserve the right to change product specifications without notice.
2. prices
The item prices in the shop are shown in Swiss francs (CHF), for private persons including the legal value added tax. VAT is shown separately for all other reference groups.
3. payment
The easiest way to pay is to use TWINT, the VISA and MasterCard credit cards or the PostFinance Card.
Orders from Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein can also be placed with advance payment. The items will be shipped as soon as we receive the payment.
Internal university departments, institutes, faculties, etc.
For these groups, orders for congresses, events, etc. are processed with internal credit transfer (business-to-business B2B). Please note the correct registration of your REF number (REF-XXX-XX).
4. Delivery, shipping and packaging costs
You will receive a confirmation of receipt of your order from us. This only confirms the receipt of the order via the shop. If you do not receive a confirmation, the order process was probably not completed correctly. In such a case, please contact us directly by e-mail or telephone (+41 (0)43 266 22 66).
The execution of the order depends on the availability of the products. As a rule, the order is processed immediately and deliverable items are shipped within the specified delivery periods. If this is not possible, we will notify you directly. Shipment can take place in more than one package. The items will be shipped as soon as they are available. No matter how many deliveries are made, only one delivery charge per order is due.

5. delivery times
Normal delivery times may vary, the following information is only a guideline:
Switzerland/Principality of Liechtenstein:
A-Post: 3 - 5 working days after receipt of order
Express delivery: 1 - 2 working days after receipt of order
Europe:
Priority (registered): 4 - 8 working days after shipment
Economy (not registered): 8 - 12 working days after shipment
Other countries:
Priority (registered): 8 - 14 working days after shipment
Economy (not registered): 12 - 18 working days after shipment
6. returns
You can return the received goods without giving reasons within 14 days of receipt of the goods and thus withdraw from the purchase. All costs for the return must be borne by the ordering party. The return must take place in the original packaging. The right of return does not apply to used articles.
The costs will be refunded excl. shipping costs if the goods are returned in intact, unused condition. If the returned goods are not in a fully resalable condition or the packaging of the item is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse a refund or to deduct up to 20% of the original sales price from the refund.
In the case of advance payments, reimbursement will be made in accordance with your bank details (account number, bank, IBAN number) as soon as we receive the goods. If the goods have been paid for by credit card, they will be credited to your credit card.
7. exchange
Switzerland:
If you wish to exchange a delivered item for a different size, you can return the item to us within 14 days of receiving it. Include a note with the return stating your name, order number, reason for return and desired size. The 1st exchange is free of charge, in case of further exchanges you will be charged the new shipping costs.
All costs for the return shipment are to be borne by the customer. The return must take place in the original packaging. The exchange right does not apply to used articles. Exchanges are only granted for products in intact, unused condition. If the returned product is not in fully resalable condition or the packaging of the item is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse an exchange for the item.
Abroad:
If you wish to exchange a delivered item for another size, you may return the item to us within 14 days of receipt of the goods. Include a note with the return stating your name and the new and old order number. All costs for the return are to be borne by the customer.
Please enter a new order in the E-Store with the desired size and mention "Exchange" in the remarks at the end of the ordering process. You will only be charged for the new delivery costs if the goods are returned in an undamaged, unused condition. If the returned goods are not in a fully resalable condition or the packaging of the item is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse a refund or to deduct up to 20% of the original sales price from the refund. The right to exchange does not apply to used items. Please note that in the case of shipments abroad, any new customs duties and the VAT of the country of destination are not included in the price and must again be borne by the buyer.
8. damaged articles
The delivered goods are to be checked immediately upon receipt. If you discover a defect in the delivered goods, please inform us by e-mail or telephone within 48 hours of receipt of the goods (+41 (0)43 266 22 66).
We will then inform you about the next steps.
As a rule, damaged or defective items must be returned with a note stating your name, order number, reason for return and desired action. Depending on damage and availability, a replacement will be delivered or the cost will be refunded. The costs incurred for the return shipment will be borne by us if this is requested by the customer.
In the case of advance payments, the refund will be made in accordance with your bank details (account number, bank, IBAN number) as soon as we receive the goods. If the goods have been paid for by credit card, they will be credited to your credit card.
However, claims for damages due to incorrect illustrations, texts and prices or late delivery are excluded. Errors, price changes or small changes of the products remain reserved.
9. wrong deliveries
The delivered goods are to be checked immediately upon receipt. If you notice an incorrect delivery, please inform us by e-mail or telephone within 48 hours after receipt of the goods. We will then get in touch with you and inform you about the next steps.
As a rule incorrectly delivered items must be returned with a note stating your name, order number, reason for return and the desired action. Depending on availability, the correct item will be delivered or the cost will be refunded. The costs incurred for the return shipment will be borne by us if this is requested by the customer.
The return must take place within 14 days in intact, unused condition and in the undamaged original packaging.

10. data protection
We commit ourselves to process your personal data only for the purpose of business transactions within the scope of our online shop and to make them accessible to third parties. All personal data will of course be treated confidentially. The data necessary for the business transaction will be stored and kept for record purposes within the scope of the statutory accounting obligations.
Credit card payments are encrypted with proven SSL technology. They are processed via Saferpay (Wordline). Wordline processes your personal data on our behalf in connection with the payments you instruct us to make. Your data will only be used by Wordline to process your payment order and will not be made available to any third party other than the financial institutions responsible for the payment method in question. "Wordline" or "Saferpay" may appear on your credit card or bank statement in connection with your order with us. We do not store any credit card data.

11. retention of title
The delivered items remain the property of the University of Bern until full payment has been received.
